I am THRILLED to announce that KEXP has the world premiere of the new video for my song "James" (off the new album, THE MAN WHO MADE HIMSELF A NAME). The video was produced and directed by Oscar Contender (aka. Adam MacKinnon) and is an early-MTV era throwback with some Twin Peaksy murder-mystery vibes thrown in. Read more about it and watch the video right HERE...
File this one under "craziest things I've ever done:" John Richards of KEXP 90.3 invited me to stop by The Morning Show at 8:30AM (PST) EVERY MORNING THIS WEEK to play a live acoustic version of a new song off the new album, THE MAN WHO MADE HIMSELF A NAME, and I SAID YES! If you're in Seattle you can tune your dial to 90.3 FM, or if you're elsewhere in the world visit kexp.org to listen in!
My bandmate, Navid Eliot, and I went into the salty desert on tour last October and shot all this footage, which my MEGA talented pal Luke Mckinley turned into this fly little teaser vid for the single. See if you can spot the Morton's Salt Factory in the background!
I had a lovely chat with Rachel Martin on NPR's Weekend Edition, which aired nationally on Super Bowl Sunday. Listen to it online HERE!
I'm happy to report that positive reviews are streaming in for the new record. I know, I know, I'm not supposed to read reviews or care what the critics say, but it's HARD not to. Mostly, I'm just happy that people are digging this music. It means a lot to me!
Seattle Met Magazine just named Swift Arrows "Album of the Month." Click on the pic to the left to read the full review.
