It's been a quiet year on the "news" front because I've been holed up at home in Seattle making a new record and focusing on my personal life, but I'm excited to announce that I'm getting back in the world and out on the road! I'll play a band show this Friday in Seattle, at my home venue, Tractor Tavern (as a part of the fabulous Macefield Music Festival!). And then next month I'll hit the road opening for the talented the Felice Brothers. See below and on the TOUR page for details. Hope to see you around the bend!

Shelby is honored to be a part of this illustrious event Thursday, May 26th at Benaroya Hall in Seattle. Read what the Seattle Times had to say about it here. And find tickets here!
"In May of 1941, Woody Guthrie was hired by the Bonneville Power Administration to write folk songs for a film about the Columbia River. He spent that month traversing Washington State and writing an astonishing 26 songs in just 30 days. On the 75th anniversary of this historic month of song, a whole host of musicians — including Northwest-based artists Sera Cahoone, Bill Frisell and Shelby Earl — will explore Woody Guthrie’s music and influence, including the aforementioned 26 songs. Other special guests for this event include John Doe, Ian Moore, Tim Easton, Gerald Collier, Dave Alvin and former Seattle mayor Mike McGinn."
