I have the unique honor and privilege of playing a solo set at Safeco Field tonight for "Do206 Night" right before our beloved home team, The Seattle Mariners, go head to head with the San Diego Padres. What an trip! Think I can finally convince Fernando Rodney that "Swift Arrows" should be his theme song? :)
Event info is HERE. Pics to follow!

You guys know John Roderick, right? He's the smarty pants who produced my first record, Burn the Boats, and frontman for the beloved Seattle band, The Long Winters. Well, I recently had the pleasure of joining John on his live podcast show, Roderick's Rendezvous, and we had a grand old time! The audio is now up online and you can check it out HERE.
One million smooches,

Check out today's print and/or online edition of the Wall Street Journal to read about rock musicians pairing up to make records. I'm super honored to be interviewed alongside Nikki Lane, Dan Auerbach and Jeff Tweedy!

Many of you already know the story behind my song & album (of the same name) "Burn the Boats." Over the past few years the song has become a bit of an anthem at my live shows, but the album was already tracked when I wrote it, so only a little snippet made it on the record (in the form of an outro). The full song has never been released in recorded form, UNTIL NOW!!!
I'm happy to announce that I've joined forces with the fine folks at London Tone Music to record & release a full-length/full-band version of "Burn the Boats," as a part of their 52x52 project, and it's available on iTunes starting TODAY! The wonderful Jonathan Plum produced and helped me to completely re-imagine the song arrangement. My hope is that even those of you who have heard it many times will hear new life in this version.
Enjoy!

We're comin' at ya!

Tomorrow begins a really fun string of festival and tour dates for the band. We hope to see you somewhere along the road!
Tune in to episode #1023 of ABC's Grey's Anatomy THURSDAY, MAY 8TH at 9|8c to hear me cover Michael Jackson's "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)," produced by my super talented pal & bandmate Eric Howk!

I'm THRILLED to be going out on the road with the amazing Tom Brosseau in a couple weeks. Visit the TOUR PAGE for a full list of shows!

I had a lovely chat with Rachel Martin on NPR's Weekend Edition, which aired nationally on Super Bowl Sunday. Listen to it online HERE!

In case you haven't heard, a polar vortex moved in last week and temperatures around the globe have dropped to EXTREME and unprecedented lows. I am feeling just adventuresome enough to hop in a car, along with a talented songwriter named Aaron Lee Tasjan, and drive around ULTRA-cold Midwestern and Southern states to play my songs. Hence, I present to you the aptly named: 2014 POLAR VORTEX TOUR. Come warm us up with your presence and we will sing real pretty in return!
